If so, the Start! course is for you
Start is a six week introduction to the Christian faith
which we run in small groups in a home, run for anyone who just wants to know more about their life and what being a Christian means. The

Start! Is ideal for those of no faith who want to know
what being a Christian is all about
The aims of the course are to
If you’d like to know more or to join our next Start! Course, then e mail Rob Pearson.
Alpha is an opportunity to go further in exploring
the purpose of life and the message of the Christian faith.
It is a relaxed, informal and fun approach which
involves a meal together, a talk outlining different
messages of the Christian faith, and the chance to
openly discuss these.
The course is ideally suited to anyone wanting to
investigate Christianity further, those who are new to
the faith, and those new to Lakeside.
The courses run on a Wednesday evening from 7,30 to
10.00 pm in a member’s home. Please contact Rob Pearson for more information.
Don't be anonymous!
We don't want anyone to get 'lost' in the crowd. So we
encourage all our members to belong to a group of
between 8 and 12 people that meets in someone's home
every week.
The purpose of these meeting is to pray, chat, worship
God together, discuss the main points of the preaching
from the previous Sunday, grow in our love for God, get
to know each other, laugh together, drink coffee and eat
biscuits.
Part of our life together means discovering ways we can
help each other with practical needs, reaching out to
the local community and work colleagues, carrying each
others' burdens, etc. This means that we grow together
and serve the people with whom we come into contact in
daily life, at work, at the school gate, in the shops -
wherever!
There's so much more to church life than Sundays! Making
close friendships and feeling supported, loved,
encouraged and that we're in this together is a hugely
important part of why God has called us to be
Christians.
